Can I scream and jump and fly and run through my whole house because I am soo soo soo excited?!!!!!!

Oh wait. I already did!!!! Ok I am going to firstly say that I was reading Adrienne Looman's blog post about needing an inhouse designer on Prima on Monday morning and was just dreaming that if I lived near the office in Chino I would soooo go and apply!! But as quickly as I thought that, my mind moved on because I knew it would never happen. Needless to say I had moved on long ago from the dream of thinking I would make the Prima design team! I seriously seriously had realized and admitted to myself that I just wasn't going to make it. I spent that whole Monday as normal with washing, folding, playing with Cree and making dinner for when Jed got home. Well as I was just finishing dinner (literally just pulled it out of the oven), the phone rang. Soo thought it was my dad because he always calls at that time of day. But when Sharon Laakkonen introduced herself and where she was calling from, I went dead. I almost could not get words out during the conversation for fear of screaming and crying at the same time!! hehe. Yeah can I tell you guys how much of a dork I am!!! I am still in utter shock!!! I could seriously go on like this all night (ask my husband he has been driven nuts over the last few days!), but I am going to save you the side pains from laughing at my rambling!

I give you the new 09 Prima Design Team!!!!!

New Kitschy Digitals kits!!!!

I am sooo excited about these new kits from Danielle Thompson's Kitschy Digitals!!! She has two that just got released today! One is an amazing and fantastically huge Monotone Fresh Feathers kit and the other is an adorable Kawaii Cute Fruits kit!!!!

Be sure to check out the Kitschy Digitals site for examples of these fabulous kits in use! Not to mention some absolutely killer inspiration!!!! Danielle has just added four new members to the Creative Team!! They are none other than the incredibly talented Rhian Cooksey Quinton, Davinie Fiero, Tara Anderson (who I just recently discovered and have fallen in love with!!!), and Alexis Hardy!!!! I can not say enough awesomely amazing things about Alexis!! She is just an amazing inspiration to me! And just so that you can also show your love of Kitschy Digitals, here is the link to Danielle's post which has the Oh So Adorably Cute blinkies she made!!!! I will be back this weekend with the new Kitschy projects I have been working on!!!! Yay!!! So cute!

Scrapbook Nookin' it!!!

Hooray for a fantabulously awesome kit!!!! Because that is what I can not stop saying while working with this kit! Let me just show you what I am talkin about.......

Kit Contents:

9 sheets of Jenni Bowlin paper
2 die cut papers
1 package of Maya Road velvet flowers
1 American Crafts "Getty" alphabet- that's over 800 letters!
1 Making Memories roll of Valentine tickets
1 Making Memories tiny alphabet
1 yard Prima trim
1 yard grosgrain muslin ribbon
1 package of Jenni Bowlin calendar die cuts (all 12 months!)
1 set of Scenic Route chipboard houses
and 2 sheets of coordinating Bazzill cardstock!
Doesn't that just look fab!!! I have had so much fun working with this kit! But I will admit it is a huge and I mean huge challenge to come up with LOs that I am happy with because I am sooo not used to having my available things to use limited to just a set amount of things. hehe Does that make any sense? I just embellish sooo much with so many different things that I find it hard to be happy with my LOs. Don't get me wrong though I am lovin the challenge!! It is puttin me outta my usual box which is so what I love doing right now! A good challenge always inspires me! :)
So far I have done a few LOs, but am going to be working on some more real soon!!

This first one is called Where did she learn how to do that? hehe It documents how my daughter has learned how to rest her chin in her hand. So cute!

Journaling goes- She said: Look at her! Where did she learn how to do that?!
He said: You're kidding right? (I look over at you and you are sitting
in the exact same position!)
She said: Well. I guess that explains that.

This next LO is called Little Lady. My daughter even though she is still super young she is turning into such an adorably tiny little lady.

Journaling says: You're turning into such a little (tiny) lady. Where has my little baby gone?

BTW this one also happens to be a lift from the fabulous Alexis Hardy!! I am just sooo in love with the design of that LO that I had to do it again!

*Please click on the images to see them bigger! I am soooo frustrated with pictures right now because I can not get them the right size!!! They are either wayyy toooo small or wayyyy tooo big!! Grrr. Will this ever end?!*
Now for some awesome news about the Scrapbook Nook!!! We are having a virtual crop this weekend called Crop In The Name Of Love!!!!!!!! I am sooo excited because it is my first ever virtual crop! Sunday, February 1, 2009

Oh my Gosh! Can I just tell you how frustrating that was?! I finally got things fixed two days ago but had still not been able to get on here to start this post. That was a nightmare that I went through and never ever want to do it again! To read about what happened click here. Well little did I know it not only affected my blog but every single thing I attached my photobucket photos to!!!!!! Yeah I keeled over and died when I realized that. I so did not want to fix everything. I emphasize did not.

Oh well it is over and done with and FIXED!!! Yay!!!!!! So we move on. I am still not sure what there was to be learned about that whole fiasco but still we move on. But I do want to thank you all soooo much for being patient with me in getting it all fixed!

I have absolutely incredibly awesome news!!!! Well it might not be so much news anymore because a bit of time has passed since they have happened and been announced but oh well. It is news for this blog! hehe. I have been asked to be on two design teams!!!! One is this fabulous kit club called The Scrapbook Nook! I am going to be doing a huge post about the current kit and the work I have done for them so far tomorrow! There is also going to be a virtual crop this coming weekend so I will have details about that too!!! It will be my first virtual crop so I am sooooo excited! Stay tuned for this upcoming post!

And then the other is a challenge blog called Category Stories! On this site you are given a prompt for that month's challenge and you just have to use it in some creative way! Whether you use it as your title or part of your title or the theme of your project or any other totally awesome way, we love to see how many different representations of the same prompt you all can come up with!

This month's prompt is What I love about..... It got taken in so many directions just by the DT I can't wait till I see what all the participants come up with!! The sponsor will be announced soon along with the fabulous RAK they are providing!!! (I'll keep you posted on that!) There is a lot of really awesome talent on this DT and I can't help but get inspired by them everytime I go and visit one of their sites!! Be sure to go over and give them some love! This is what I did for the prompt:

I don't have any close ups yet but I will edit with those soon. The whole thing reads: What I love about CREATING is the freedom it gives to pursue a dream without fear. I am really really passionate about creating from the heart, whatever it is that you are creating. I turned this into a sort of collage of colors because um hello how could you not with all that awesomeness in front of you!!! I picked up this new K and Co paper called Que Sera Sera which I soooo know was made just for me! hehe. I love it so much! It mixes gorgeous florals with totally cool marine animals, which seriously made me swoon when I saw it! You may think I am crazy and I would agree but I am so in love with this line. Hope you liked what I did!
Here are the LOs I did for the last three prompts:

January's prompt: I remember....

Journaling: I remember when everyone used to tell me that I looked exactly like you, I talked exactly like, acted exactly like you. And I hated it. Now I am honored.

This is the first LO I have ever done with a picture of my mom. This picture is nearly 12 years old. She passed away almost 6 years ago. This was very hard to do, but I am very glad I have finally been able to break that barrier. Scrapbooking is therapy for me, and this was a very productive and powerful session.

December's prompt: Decorate

Journaling: (was) decorated with a bow until about two seconds after this photo was shot.

She loves to have things on her head but can't stand having someone else put them there. so of course this bow had to come off. This LO was lift inspired by Alexis Hardy's Love LO. Such a perfect set up I just had to use it! Thanks for letting me lift it Alexis!!!

November's prompt: My phone

Journaling: You think I am joking huh? Nope. I'm not. It is really at a spa, but there is no way I could tell you which spa that might be seeing as we have about 4 billion in this area! Wonder how it got there all by itself? Well the truth is, it had some help. I lost it at a craft store, someone found it, called my Dad (which I guess seemed like a safe bet), and told him they were going to leave it at such and such spa. My Dad, being the crazy guy he is, actually thinks I had gone to said spa so doesn't bother to listen to the name. And now, he can not remember the name. Cruel Irony. My phone is lost, found and lost again. I have come to terms with this and so now, this is my little goodbye to you, Flipshot.

I probably never would have scrapped that story had it not been for that prompt! hehe. good times.

Well that is all I gots at that moment! Like I said though I will be back tomorrow with an update about the Scrapbook Nook and then the following day will be some Kitschy Digitals!!!! I am setting goals for myself to keep those blogging committments!!! Wish me luck!
