Sharing all my Cosmo Cricket lovelies.....

Yes that is right, I decided to try out for the Cosmo Cricket design team! :P I am totally thinking that I am not going to make it (I have seen some pretty amazing projects made with their stuff) but you never know! So here is to being optimistic! *CHEERS!!* :D

These first few LOs were some of the very first things I ever made! :P I am a little embarrassed by some now only because they look a little haphazard but they meant something to me at the time, so here they are!

This LO is called Sock Monkey and Me! (If you sing that to the theme song for those dolls from the 80s, Kid Sister and My Buddy, then it works perfect!!) ( I know. I'm a dork!) Creedence was given a sock monkey for her first birthday by my dad and she carried that thing everywhere with her! It was so cute!

And a couple close ups...

This LO was probably the first form of Art Journaling that I ever did. I still love this LO, although I don't do quite so much inking and distressing now. The frame that the Blackboard chip shapes are on, I made myself! Had a super duper thick piece of chipboard and so I just cut the shape I wanted. :D

And a close up of the top....

And a close up of the journaling spot.....

The journaling spot is actually a collection of words that are supposed to go inbetween the 'am' and 'me'. So it reads, "Now I am-handling finding fueling chasing creating forgetting screaming analyzing seeing fulfilling feeling distracting asking stretching verbalizing obeying loving hearing wanting celebrating realizing ignoring shushing understanding discovering sacrificing knowing enjoying respecting becoming-me".

Chipboard: Fleuriste Blackboard

Diecuts: Fleuriste diecuts

On this LO the color scheme of the whole thing was inspired by the Jack's World Big Sister paper! I loved making this LO because those colors were so bright and fun, but I look back on this LO and think OMGoodness How did I get all of that on there?!! (And kinda What was I thinking?!!) I certainly don't crowd my LOs this much nowadays! hehe! :P It is funny, when I photographed this LO again this week (it needed an updated photo), as I pulled it out of the album, a butterfly fell off! Well the funny part is I could not for the life of me figure out where it was supposed to go!!! :D That is one indicator that you have too much on one LO! The title of this LO combines with the journaling, so it is supposed to be read like this: this moment is..... cleaning time, reading time, resting time, scrapping time, eating time, catching up on sleep time, organizing time, but most of all Quiet Time..... for me.

A close up...

And another to show the ribbons and rubons and such I put on the paper accenting the colors...

Ribbon: Jack's World Yellow Velvet
Now this LO was a lot of fun to do! But the journaling I had to rewrite like 4 times! I kept going downhill with it! :P Also another thing that took a long time was the stitching! I did it by hand becaue I didn't have a sewing machine back then! It wasn't super hard unless I was going through the chipboard numbers (which I had to use a mini hammer to get through!), it was quite funny to watch. :P

This section begins everything that I have done with the Everafter collection.

This LO was actually just recently featured on the Cosmo Cricket blog! :P I am still giddy about that! This LO took a good while to do because of all the planning that was involved, but I love the result. The whole middle portion with the picture is raised up off the page, so that all the chipboard could be under it, and I used the negative of the Everafter chipboard shapes to do that! :D I love recycling my products and packaging like that! This picture of Jed and Cree is one of my favs, and I have actually scrapped it a few times! :P

Rub ons: Everafter rub ons

This next project is something very special to me! This little book is about the evening that Jed and I got married! It is addressed to my family because this is a little thing that I made to help soften the blow that we got married! Yeah that is right! My family didn't know! This was to help them not feel quite so left out. :P We are going to be having a bigger ceremony and everything down the road so they will for sure all be there but this was for them in the meantime.

These next few picture are of a few brooches I made for a class at the Scrapbook Nook! I wear scarves and sweaters all the time and these are the perfect little embellishments to such wardrobe pieces! :D

This section begins everything that I have done (so far!) with the Early Bird collection!

This little LO was also just recently featured on the Cosmo Cricket blog! It was my first attempt at inchies and let me tell you, I am in love!!! Love inchies! They are a bit smaller than I guess I thought they would be but they were so fun to work with!

Cosmo Cricket supplies used-
Paper: Early Bird Borders, Early Bird Elements, Early Bird-Apron Strings, Early Bird-Cherry Pie, Early Bird-Brunch, Early Bird-Farmer's Market, Early Bird-Sunrise

Chipboard: Early Bird chipboard

This LO I just recently made using Pencil Lines sketch #73 by Asa Bergstrand! It was for a challenge on the Scrapbook Nook's message board. I did it just for fun! And it was a lot of fun! I followed it pretty closely, and wanted very much to add a whole ton to it but I stayed true and kept it simple! :D Journaling reads: We are so lucky to have been blessed with such a happy girl! You love to laugh, give hugs and kisses, and you sing and dance all the time! We love to see your smile!

Chipboard: Early Bird chipboard
In this LO I kinda went paint happy. :P Journaling reads: I am becoming better and better at documenting the everyday, right now and what really mean the most moments!
And then on the bottom (in second photo) I used a cut off from the selvedge edge border (the one that talks about how they-Cosmo Cricket-used soy-based inks) to further my journaling! :D

This little LO I made for my sister. On this LO I decided to keep the journaling tag blank for the photo, because the journaling is personal. It is a message to my sister. She lives pretty far away from me, and I miss her a lot.

This section begins everything I have done (so far as well!) with the Girl Friday collection!

This is a brand new LO that I just finished night before last! I had finally busted into my Girl Friday Crafting kit! This LO is about my little girl and how much she absolutely loves being outside!!! I think she might spend her entire life outdoors if I let her! :P Journaling reads: Being outside is the one thing that makes you the happiest! You could play out there, exploring and running, for hours!! You get in the dirt, you pick flowers, and you love the sprinklers! I think that if you had a choice, you would want to be outside, rain or shine! You have become our little outdoorsy girl; doesn't matter where we are, as long as you are outside, you are fine.

And a close up.....

And another close up....

Stickers: Girl Friday cardstock stickers

Chipboard: Girl Friday chipboard

Ribbon: Get Happy blue velvet ribbon

And this LO is also a brand new creation! I gave my hand at inchies again (though this time I think I failed miserably!) This Lo is about how we have a whole bunch of nicknames for our daughter! Some of them you may think are just descriptive words but when she actually answers to them, they end up becoming full fledged nicknames. :D I went with a sweet and simple design on this and have ended up really liking it! (aside from my flopped inchies attempt that is!)

I am still in the process of doing another Girl Friday LO and am also working on an Early Bird banner! :P I will post on here a soon as I get those done! Thanks so much for taking a look!
